Chapter 4 discusses the mind. To give some form of structure our component model shows the main functional elements which we would expect to see in a virtual human's mind.
Another way of looking at the mind we describe is in terms of two loops of activity - one focused on the perception, understanding and reaction to external stimuli, and one based around a internal memory, drives, goals and narrative.
